My co-worker asked me to do a 70s theme birthday cake for his lovely wife. This is a tie dyed shirt inspired cake with buttercream for tie dye pattern and the "peace, love and happiness" is fondant accents.
I think I had a more fun making this cake since my daughter decided to be judge and jury while making the cake...."No, mom, you missed a spot!" "Do you REALLY think that will work??" "I LIKE this cake - it's cool!" HA!

Hi I love your cake! My daughters bday is next week and she wants me to make her a cake similar to this. Can you explain how you made the buttercream look tie dyed.
