Birthday

This cake was made for a very special lady to celebrate her 29th birthday. (again!)

Castle Theme - 1st Birthday

I loved making this cake! It was for a little girl celebrating her 1st birthday.
The cookies are sugar cookies with fondant and royal icing decorations. I made them in three different color schemes.
The crush cake is buttercream with fondant accents.
The main piece was a 10 inch triple layer topped with a 6 inch triple layer. It is (as a singular cake), the largest I have done thus far. It is a buttercream covered cake with all fondant covering. The flag post is a dowel covered in fondant and has a gumpaste flag. The base is covered in fondant with buttercream grass accents.

Lots of Princesses

Tiara is a precocious little girl of one of my co-workers. Buttercream with fondant accents.

Butterfly

Done for a friend's church function. Buttercream with fondant accents.

Army Send Off

This is a buttercream camoflauge cake for a co-worker who joined the Army!

Austin Trip

This February, I visited friends in Austin for a Half Marathon. They wanted to decorate a crawfish boil cake. This is a pic of us with the final result. Came out cute!

Welcome Home Celebration

This was a welcome home cake for a young lady who was returning home after a long stay in the hospital. She loves fleur de lis deco and wanted a "girlie" cake. Deco is in fondant and the rest is buttercream.

Vikings Cake

These guys were celebrating their local championship win....ironically, this cake was made around the time the SAINTS played the Vikings!

SAINTS MANIA!

Well, since the Saints were national champs last year, I had a fair number of requests for football cakes.....the first of many!

Bright and Colorful

This was a fun cake beacuse of the colors! Fondant "dots" on a buttercream cake.

Princess Pink

For a little princess - buttercream with fondant flower accents.

It's been a while

Well, since I started on Facebook, I have neglected this blog. So, I will try to upload all of the pictures from the last year.

I have some personal favorites from this year - I hope you enjoy them as much as I have!
